Data Deletion Instructions

You can permanently delete your Professional Vault account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it and what gets removed — including any information we received when you signed in with Facebook, Google, or another connected login.

Option 1 — Delete your account yourself

This is the fastest way and removes everything from our servers:

  1. Sign in to your Professional Vault account at myprofvault.com.
  2. Go to Account Settings (your profile menu → Settings).
  3. Scroll to the Danger zone section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click “Delete my account permanently” and confirm.
  5. We email you a confirmation link — open it to finalize the deletion.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can’t sign in (for example, you no longer have access to the Facebook or Google account you used to register), email us at admin@myprofvault.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject line “Delete my data”. We verify ownership and complete the deletion on your behalf.

What gets deleted

  • Your account, login credentials, and any connected-login identifiers (Facebook ID, Google ID, email, name, and profile details we received).
  • All uploaded documents and their stored files.
  • Structured profile data extracted from your documents (work experience, education, skills) and the embeddings generated from it.
  • Generated resumes, cover letters, and job-application history.
  • API tokens, integration tokens, and account preferences.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We remove your data from our active systems immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days. We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it (for example, billing or tax records for completed transactions).

Removing Professional Vault from Facebook

Deleting your account here removes the data we hold. To also revoke Professional Vault’s access from the Facebook side, open Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, select Professional Vault, and choose Remove.
